Come enjoy the "greatest snow on earth" skiing and yoga adventure in the beautiful

Wasatch mountains. This program combines yoga instruction with both resort and

backcountry ski outings. We use the principles of alignment and self awareness taught

in yoga and integrate them into our skiing. We will strive to increase our self awareness

and our connection to our surroundings thus maximizing our fun and enjoyment.

We will spend one day playing in the resort and two days of exploring in the backcountry.

We will indulge in 5 yoga sessions throughout the three days, enjoy wonderful meals at the Alta lodge, and soak in the hot tub in the evenings. The guides will teach you about backcountry travel and safety while taking you on an amazing adventure in the Wasatch.



Requirements:

• No yoga or backcountry skiing experience is needed

• Must be Intermediate to advanced skier

• Capable of skiing off piste (ungroomed) terrain at the ski resort

• Good fitness required, able to hike 2500-3500ft elevation gain


Guide Bio:

Winslow Passey is an AMGA certified Ski Mountaineering Guide.

She has been guiding for 9 years, and is a lead guide for Utah

Mountain Adventures. Winslow has guided all over the world in

Antarctica, Nepal, Mongolia, South America, Alaska, and in the

Northwest.

Winslow successfully completed an intensive one month long

Satpa Yoga Teacher Training Course (200 hours theory and practice)

under the direct supervision of the renown yogi Dr. Sushil

Bhattacharya, founder/director of Sapta Yoga International,

Kathmandu, Nepal.

Winslow has been sharing yoga with others in the mountains for

years while guiding on Denali in Alaska and in the Himalayas

traveling to Everest Base Camp and Island Peak.


All inclusive package includes:

4 nights lodging at the Alta Lodge

Full hot breakfasts and four-course dinners, lunch on the mountain

at Alta one day, and 2 days sack lunch

Alta lift ticket one day, all instruction/guide fees, service and taxes

(Backcountry ski touring equipment can be rented)

offering us a spectacular venue for this awesome adventure.

We combine skiing and yoga on this fun filled 3 day retreat focusing

on improving your skiing performance and your health through daily

yoga sessions.

We have worked closely with the Alta lodge to organize healthy

meals and comfortable rooms in a cozy mountain setting. With all

the amenities taken care of we can relax and focus our energies

toward what’s improtant: skiing ,yoga and having fun!

Each day will work on techniques for improving posture, strength,

balance, flexibility, and focus. Your skiing performance will improve

as we learn to combine the techniques we practice in our yoga

sessions to our skiing in the mountains.
