I have been to Nepal now 8 times in this region, and I am more and more moved each time. It is a trip of a lifetime that lifts the heart and soul. We will spend several days in Kathmandu visiting some of the special places there such as Pashupatinath (the Hindu temple), Swayambhunath (the Buddhist "monkey" temple), and Bodnath (a Tibetian Buddhist stupa).
We will then fly to Lukla (9000') and begin the trek from there. You will need to be in good physical condition able to hike 3000' and 5mi. a day. We will take a slow pace to acclimatize.
Day 1 & 2 - Fly to Kathmandu
Day 3 - Tour in Kathmandu
Day 4 - Fly to Lukla (9000') and trek to Phakding (8700' 3-4hr)
Day 5 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (11,300' 5-6hr). This is the central trade center for goods from Tibet!
Day 6 - Rest day in Namche Bazaar
Day 7 - Khumjung (12,500' 3-4hr), visit the Hillary School and the Hospital
Day 8 - Trek to Tengboche, visit the monastary, gift shop, & bakery (12,660' 4-5hr) There are great views of Ama Dablam from here, descend slightly to Deboche (in the Rhodendron forest) for the night
Day 9 - Trek to Pheriche (14,000' 6-7hr) , We will visit the Himalayan Rescue Association for a high altitude talk!
Day 10 - Day hike from Pheriche
Day 11 - Trek to Lobuche (16,200' 6-7hr)
Day 12 - Trek to Gorak Shep (16,961' 6-7hr), afternoon hike up Kala Patar (18,200' 3-4hr) weather permiting
Day 13 - Trek to Everest Base Camp (17,600' 8-9hr) and back to Gorak Shep
Day 14 - Descend to Dingboche (13,900' 5-6hr)
Day 15 - Descend to Tengboche (12,600' 5-6hr)
Day 16 - Descend to Namche (11,300' 5-6hr)
Day 17 - Descend to Lukla (9000' 5-6hr)
Day 18 - Fly to Kathmandu
Day 19 & 20 - Fly home
COST INCLUDE:
All meal during the trek, hotel accommodation in standard hotel at Kathmandu in bed and breakfast at the Yak n Yeti & en-route trek, a trekking guide, cook, kitchen helper, porters for carrying all loads during the trek. Trekking permit & national park permits, all trekking crews insurance, foods, accommodation, salary & all ground transport as per the itinerary.

All meals during the stay at Kathmandu, Hard & soft drinks on the trek, first aid kit, personal insurance, rescue flights, airport tax, and any personal nature expenses and personal trekking gear.
